Computer Lab

The Computer Lab is equipped with 1-Ghz Compaq Desk Pro computers with 17-inch monitors. Each computer is loaded with tutorial programs for various topics in nursing. All computers have world wide web connections with DVD/CD players. The computer lab printer is a high output printer capable of printing large documents and heavy graphics. The lab is open 24-hours a day with a security pass code. Computer assistance is available to students during regular business hours.

Library Resources

Library Resources include the Dr. Walter Lawrence Memorial Library. WSCN Professional Library includes the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) reference, over 3000 medical and nursing journals, Medline computer databases and audio/visual materials. There are internet-connected computers that are available for web research. A full-time librarian and library assistants are available to assist student during regular business hours.

Student Lounge

Student Lounge is located on the 2nd floor of the Student-Faculty Center. Newly remodeled, the Student Lounge has couches, chairs, TV/VCR, tables, kitchenette, and microwave. This area is conducive for individual study, study groups and student organization meetings. The Student Government Organization's office is located outside the Student Lounge area, as are lockers and pay phone.
