Nursing Admission Requirements
BSN Generic and Evening / Weekend Options
Admission Criteria:
- Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75/4.0, a minimum science GPA of 2.75/4.0 (science GPA is calculated from Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, and Microbiology courses).
- Must be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from an academic advisor, instructor, or employer on school or company letterhead.
- Write and submit a two-page essay (see Application Essay Questions).
- *Complete the TEAS exam with a satisfactory score in math and reading based on national averages.
* The online application and application fee must be submitted before registering for the TEAS exam.
BSN for RNs Completion Option
Registered nurses who are graduates of an NLNAC accredited, IDFPR approved, ADN, or Diploma nursing program, and who hold a current Illinois nursing license, can apply to the BSN for RNs Completion Option.
