 SimMan Lab
SimMan Lab is a universal patient simulator. There are 4 SimMen, 1 Anne, and 1 Kelly mannequins in the lab for human simulation use by faculty to teach students how to administer care to patients. All the manikins are laid on the bed with appropriate laptops and medical equipment attached to them.
SimMan is designed for use as a tool for teaching psychomotor skills and cognitive & critical thinking pathways. It can be used for education in crisis management of both typical and non-typical difficult airways. SimMan offers the ability to provide simulation education to challenge and test students clinical and decision-making skills during realistic patient care scenarios.
SimMan is extremely realistic and flexible to meet multi-disciplinary educational needs which includes patented airway system, realistic practice of chest tube insertion, physiologically correct carotid, femoral, brachial and radial pulses, Pre-programmed library of heart, lung, bowel and vocal sounds with an adjustable sound volume, blood pressure, ECG library, IV training arm, realistic male/female genitalia facilitates urologic procedures, and simulated patient monitor.
 Computer Lab
The computer lab currently runs Windows XP, Office 2003 with Internet Access and other special nursing software. This lab accomodates 20 students and is available 24 hours / 7days a week. Two high-speed printers are available for students to print out school related material.
Classroom Computer/Media
Classrooms are equipped with a desktop computer, white board, overhead projector, VCR/DVD player, and Document Reader
