Introduction

The College aspires to remain a global leader in all components of its mission teaching and learning, community outreach and community service. In conjunction with the College’s goal of preparing students who are well-equipped to assume meaningful positions in an ever-changing society, the college is committed to incorporating technological advances into its operations, integrating technology into the academic program, and providing means through which students can acquire basic competence in the use of computers and related information technology resources.

The Office of Instructional Technology

The Department of Information Technology and its support units are recognized as key contributors to advancing the College’s mission and partner with Resurrection Health Care to provide the College Community with the skills, tools, access, and information needed to succeed in their responsibilities.

The Department provides information and technical assistance:

  • For students to be technologically “FIT” (Fluent in Information Technology)
  • To develop technical support services that involves quick response and customer friendliness
  • To strive for 24-7 reliability for all academic and administrative systems with minimum downtime for system maintenance
  • For all members of the college community will have access to a high-quality information technology infrastructure and environment designed around their needs and viewpoints.

The Information Technology Staff strives for the following:

  • Use information technology to enrich the educational experience of students by enhancing the quality of learning, access to learning, student services, and student engagement in the college community.
  • Use information technology to support faculty and student scholarship and clinical practice.
  • Use information technology to enable the college to provide high-quality information and services to its clients and partners, and to conduct college operations effectively, efficiently, and consistent with best practices.
  • Provide a quality, reliable, sustainable, consistent, and secure information technology infrastructure that enables teaching, learning, research, service, and administrative operations to flourish.
  • Ensure that all staff are skilled and able to productively use information technology appropriately and effectively.

Operational:

  • Ensure that everyone at college has E-mail access
  • Provide training and workshop to users with step by step user guides
  • Ensure that all software used by the college are licensed and current
  • Improve the design, content and architecture of the college website
  • Ensure full implementation and functionality of the library automated system
  • Implement a staff development plan for Campus 2000 administrative system
