Key Responsibilities
The Chancellor of the College is the chief executive officer for the College, and is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer of West Suburban Medical Center. Administrative responsibilities include planning, leading, developing, managing, and evaluating the academic programs, student services and fiscal affairs for the College. The Chancellor serves as an advocate for the College with internal and external constituents to include students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, employers of health care professionals, the professional community, and accrediting and approval bodies.

Biography
Rebecca A. Jones, D.N.Sc., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C.
Dr. Jones has worked for more than 30 years in academic and health care administration positions and is presently the Chancellor of West Suburban College, Oak Park, Illinois, a Catholic, urban, specialty college, owned and operated by Resurrection Health Care system.
Dr. Jones received the B.S.N. ,University of Florida, M.S.N., University of South Carolina, Columbia, and D.N.Sc., Indiana University, Indianapolis majoring health care and academic administration.
Dr. Jones is currently President, Council for Graduate Education in Administration in Nursing (CGEAN) and a Director for the Board of the Illinois Institute of Independent Colleges and Universities.
Publications include articles in the "Journal of Nursing Administration", "Nurse Advisor", "Nursing Times", "Holistic Nursing Practice", "Nursing Administration Quarterly", and" Hospital Physician" concerning nursing administration and education and editorship of two textbooks Decision Making in Nursing and Leadership and Management Theories, Processes and Practice.
Dr. Jones was born in Quincy, Florida, and is the daughter of Ada Lee Allen (R.N.) and James T. Poole (MSgt, Ret, U.S.A.F.) deceased. She come from a long line of nurses beginning with grandmother and mother and 3 sisters. Her Husband is Colonel Robert Gerald Jones, U.S. Army, Retired. They have one daughter, Mrs. Aislan H. Jones Flores, who works as a Medical Records Technician for the MHMR of El Paso, Texas. She speaks conversational Spanish.
